A licensed cosmetologist since 1986, Elaine pursued her passion for haircolor by attending various trainings starting with the first Hair Color USA in Miami, Florida. She attended advanced courses at the Vidal Sassoon Academy and trained under Beth Minardi her entire career by attending classes at her salon as well as all of her beauty focus events. She was trained in the Art of Balayage with expert Nancy Braun at Loreal and completed the intense educator training with Alfa Parf Milano. She has been featured in local and international magazines for her color expertise and recognized in several “Best of” categories as well as Salon Today top 200 salons.

Elaine Travis's Bio

 In 2012 she started Expert Color Solutions, a training program for new stylists just graduating beauty school to provide the skills and confidence necessary to begin a successful career in a salon. She has personally trained all of her own stylists and taken them from beauty school graduate to color expert in less than one year earning over $60,000 annually.

Elaine opened her first salon at the age of 22 and continues to work behind the chair as a colorist in order to stay current with trends and skills. Her intense love of travel has led her to attending hair color and beauty events all over the world including Mondial Coiffure in Paris and Cosmoprof Italy.

She attributes her success to education and her passion at this stage of her career is paying it forward and teaching the next generation of color experts. Her love of hair color combined with her witty sense of humor creates an educational opportunity not to be missed.

Basic Color Boot Camp: Ideal for new beauty school graduates and licensed professionals with less than three years experience.

Five consecutive Mondays from 10 am till 4 pm

  • Quick at the sink sparkle technique to jazz up your single process and help you stand out from your

Couture Color: Dimensional Color Techniques to set you apart from the competition

In this course you will learn

  • Simple effective techniques to step up your color game
  • Make you an expert in your area for techniques that cannot be reproduced by the “kitchen beautician”
  • Custom formulation with double and triple glazing techniques for shiny ultimate dimensional looks
